There is a lawsuit against the FBI by former Olympic gymnasts, including Simone Biles.

And there are dozens of people filing the lawsuit, a dozen of former gymnasts, assault victims of Dr.

Larry Nasser.

And the lawsuit is against the FBI, not against U.S. gymnastics or the Olympic Committee

or anybody overseeing Dr. Nassar.

It's against the FBI for failing to stop the doctors.

And here is the issue.

FBI agents knew in 2015 that Nassar was accused of molesting

Jim Nance, but the FBI failed to act, leaving him free to continue targeting these young women.

According to one of the plaintiffs, Maddie Nichols, it's time for the FBI to be held accountable.

Well, under federal law, the government has six months to respond to the claims.

And then lawsuits will no doubt follow.

The Justice Department said it's not going to pursue any criminal charges against the FBI agents.

Of course not.

There are 90 plaintiffs.

And the argument reads, if the FBI has simply done his job, Nassar would have stopped before he ever had the chance to abuse hundreds of girls.

And this is one of the girls talking, including me. This is a former

University of Michigan Gymnest. Now, is the FBI going to be held liable? I don't know. I mean,

I have my doubts whether they are or not. I don't know if there's governmental immunity,

sovereign immunity here. We have to look at the not. I don't know if there's governmental immunity, sovereign immunity here.

We have to look at the law. I mean, the FBI is clearly negligent. There's no question about it.

The issue is, can the FBI be sued? Now, Michigan State, the Michigan State University, they were sued and the university can be sued because he was working at Michigan State.
