This is about the Declaration of Independence when it was read aloud.

This is something that's interesting.

I'm just going to bring this up.

I was reading through it.

And it was on July 9th, 1776, when a copy of the Declaration of Independence had reached New York City at the time, tensions about the Revolutionary War ran very high. You recall, I didn't go into much detail about this yesterday, but Americans were split between the revolutionists and the loyalists. Because you had a huge percentage.

I mean, I'm not sure the exact number, but it was a good amount that were loyalists to the

king.

And they were diametrically opposed to the war.

And so apparently when the British naval ships actually occupied New York Harbor at

the time.

And so when this thing,

when George Washington read the words of the Declaration of Independence for a city hall, a huge crowd rallied and cheered. However, that same day, ironically enough as well, the King George

statute was also torn down and melted. And they can they converted it into more than 42,000
