164 million dollar deal. Multiple teams were competing for the

former Golden State Warrior, even though it's unlikely

he'll step foot on the court the entire next season due to a devastating Achilles

injury. The ten-time All-Star Forward will be joined by former Celtics point guard and good friend Kyrie Irving who signed his

own four-year deal with the nets worth $142 million.

Durand turned down a more generous offer to stay with the Warriors where he led the team to two championships in three years as MVP.

Topping our international news a few weeks ago we told you about millions of

protesters in Hong Kong upset over a bill that would send accused criminals

to mainland China where their rights might not have been respected.

Even though the country's leader, Carrie Lamb, dropped that idea.

The peaceful protests have continued with calls for

her to step down. Yesterday one of the demonstrations turned violent as

hundreds of protesters

are calling for a democratic election of the city's leader.
