the expectation skyrocketed. And this is a team that hadn't been in the playoff

since 2010. And they were in the bubble and this team without Chris Paul went eight

no. And we thought, okay, you got this sort of Genesis there. The embryonic stages

of maybe something cute. And then all of a sudden they get Chris Paul.

Chris Paul doesn't play cute. Chris Paul's there to win. And I don't know if the

goal was to reach the NBA finals this year, at least a realistic goal.

But here they are. After beating the clippers last night, Phoenix advances to

its first finals since 1993, the Charles Barkley Phoenix Suns. And it seemed like

the shorthanded clippers wouldn't go away. But Chris Paul made sure they found a way

to not allow them to come back. He scored 31 of his 41 in the second half to seal

the win. After 16 years, Chris Paul reaches the finals for the first time.
