Hey guys, how's it going? Scott Devine here and I'm back with another episode of the SBL podcast.

And this week we've got killer bass player Sam Lord with us who's been playing bass with a pop duo called Aquilo.

We're going to get the full lowdown on Sam's gig with Aquilo who are making big waves on both sides of the Atlantic after their debut album Sil Silhouettes, was released at the end of

this January. We're going to learn how Sam got the gig, what it's entailed so far, and this is

the cool bit, how he's adapting from life in Morecambe, Lancashire, over here in the UK. It's

kind of like a small farming, fishing town village kind of thing.

Anyway, how he's adapting from life in Morecam to appearances on US primetime TV.

Sam's also a vocalist and is really, really capable on synth bass too, which has been

essential for the Aquilo gig that he's doing at the minute.

He's a super cool guy, lots of advice to offer young bass players who were looking to get there,

you know, really to get their first big break.
