Good morning and welcome to Kid News!

We're on our summer break, but that doesn't mean we can't keep those news neurons firing

with a few of our favorite critical thinking questions.

Every day we'll bring you a kid news classic from the past year or so, followed by a

newdler challenge to see if you can make the story your own.

Today we're hanging 10 with 12-year-old Carter Dourley of New Jersey, who needed an outlet

during the pandemic lockdowns.

That's when he picked up a surfboard and hardly put it down.

He caught the surfing bug and as of February 18th, 2023, surpassed his goal of surfing

for a thousand straight days, no matter how windy, rainy, or even snowy it was.

In route to his goal, Carter decided to raise money for charities, like the local food

pantry, surfade, and for kids in Ukraine.
