Good morning and welcome to kid news. I'm Tori. Today is Monday, June 21, 2021, the

first full day of summer. And we begin with a mannequin headed to the moon and NASA asking

for your help to name it. The launch of the Orion spacecraft is set for November. No

humans will be aboard. Instead, in the commander's chair will be a test dummy, outfitted with

radiation sensors and a new survival system space suit that the agency wants to put through

its paces. The mannequin already has a great nickname, Munequin, and it might be hard to improve

on that, but NASA wants to try. Every other day for the next week, it's asking us all

to vote on eight possibilities. You can find the name the Artemis Munequin challenge on Instagram,

Here's a new teen phenom to watch at the Olympics. 15-year-old Katie Grimes just made the

US team for swimming in the 800. The trials were held over the weekend in Omaha, Nebraska,

where she came in second to another Katie superstar, Katie Ladecki, who also made her Olympic

debut at the age of 15. The 24-year-old veteran calls the newcomer the future and the now.
