Hello and welcome to the Diz Unplug roundtable discussion for June 15, 2011 from Orlando, Florida. I'm your host Pete Warner.

Join this week by my good friends, Kathy Whirling, Julie Martin, Corey Martin, Kevin Close, John Meijai, Walter Eccles, and Teresa Eccles, along with Max the intern back in the peanut gallery.

We're going to talk about, Corey and Julie are going to talk about velvet sessions over at Hard Rock Hotel Universal, something that I really enjoyed when I did it and I stopped drinking and not a good place for me to go these days.

You know, Pete, even as somebody who drinks, especially like the free drinks, they're not things that I drink, like tequila and rum.

Oh, no, was Corey drinking tequila? No, he was.

Oh, okay, good. I had one. For those of you who don't know, velvet sessions, it's a rock and roll cocktail party that's held in the lobby of the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal. It takes place. It's only one day a month. It's the last Thursday of every month.

With the exception of Velvet Unplugged, which I don't know how often they're going to be doing that now, but it was last week.

Yeah, it's something to try and know. What's that? It's where they have an artist come and play an unplugged set. They did one on June 14th, which actually is.

Do you know who it is? Hold on to that again.

It's Pat Travers. I don't know who that is.

I think Black Betty. Oh, okay. Probably the only thing we know.

Yes. So he'll be there tonight, but it's one of the first ones they've done. So it's something new they're trying out.

So what's the difference between plugged and unplugged?

Plugged means. Probably all acoustic.

Yeah. Okay. As he's posing with his guitar. Now there, you know, this isn't a free event.

The admission is $29 if you if you buy it online, $35 at the door. And they also offer VIP, which is $50.

We did VIP because we don't do this often. So we decided just to go for it.

Now all of these tickets include free specially drinks. Julie mentioned some.

I'll mention what the sponsor was that night. There are finger foods and there are warm up tunes.

Now the event starts at six o'clock, six thirty ish.
