0:14.8	So, yesterday, officially, we entered what's known as a bear market, a term that is confusing

0:22.7	But, I want to tell you what it actually means to you and your wallet.
0:29.0	I don't want to talk about something else later.
0:31.8	Student loans.
0:32.8	There's new news on the student loan front, and it can pinch your wallet if you have
0:38.4	a kid in college or want about to start this fall.
0:42.6	I'm going to tell you what you need to know.
0:45.4	So, the stock market is in an ugly place right now, but not a surprising one.
0:54.0	Stock values had been unusually high for a long period of time based on how that's measured.
1:01.8	And how that's measured is something.
1:03.3	People think it's just some kind of mystery thing.
1:07.4	Like, you throw it in like some kind of stew and numbers just pop out.
1:12.4	And that's not how it plays.
1:14.5	When you're trying to figure out the fair value of a company, what you do is you take
1:20.2	the profits of that company and you divide them out by the number of shares there are.
1:25.4	And you come up with a profit per share.
1:28.8	And most companies report that every 90 days and you figure out over a year what those
1:33.8	profits are worth.
