gritty. Give me the nitty gritty. I want to know the nitty gritty. I don't need to know the nitty gritty.

There's too much nitty gritty. Niddy gritty. I love this expression. N-I-T-T-Y.

G-R-I-T-Y.

And we put a hyphen, a dash between the two words.

The nitty-gritty.

The nitty-gritty means the most important or the most very, very specific but important information or details about something.

So, for example, your resume.
