Have you ever realized that something from your childhood still affects you today? It’s not uncommon to hold onto things from childhood even well into your adult years. In this episode, Jessi chats with a client of the FFM, Hana. Hana’s struggles with food and her body started at four years old after she began to suppress her feelings. Suppressing feelings often leads to the use of other coping mechanisms and this is what happened with Hana. She shares how a broken relationship due to cheating confirmed her feelings of worthlessness (and further contributed to her struggles). Hana talks about how she finally decided to seek out help after 15+ years of struggling. She also talks about her experience in the course and finding great friendships with women from across the globe. In this episode: How her struggles with food and body started after suppressing her feelings as a child How most parents are doing the best they can Feeling unsupported and how a lack of boundaries led to people walking all over her Struggling with depression as a teen Her story of infidelity and how this confirmed her feelings of worthlessness Losing a close friend and the toll the grief took on her Coping mechanisms she used to numb from the weight of the pain Her experience with therapy, trying to regain weight and overexercising Why she got into fitness competing Getting nervous system fatigue and being forced to rest Believing that you can be free from food and body struggles How Hana got connected with Jessi and the FFM Her experience in the course and how her relationship with food and body has evolved The friendships she’s made in the FFM What’s been the most impactful part of the course for her How her life has changed since recovering from her struggles with food and body How she’s learned to sit in her feelings and embrace emotions Links:Rise With Me LIVE Morning Routine ChallengeRise with Me LIVE Facebook Group Join me for The Food Freedom Breakthrough Masterclass. 1:01.4

her feelings and using self-harm and cutting to distract her. She's overcome depression and

1:07.9

bulimia and binging and she's learned how to feel into her feelings.

1:13.4

And this is really powerful because, again, if we want to heal, if we want to become the women
