Did you know that air travel is the most serious environmental sin?

I'm not joking. One round-trip flight from New York to Europe, for example, creates a warming effect equivalent to two or three tons of carbon

So if you're an American, that's about one-fifth of your total carbon emissions allotment per year.

A round-trip flight between New York and California, and you have generated 20% of the greenhouse gases that your car emits over an entire year.

The bottom line is that if you travel by airplane, you are emitting a significant amount of greenhouse gases into our atmosphere.
