FBI cases. In this episode we speak with retired agent Bill

Dyson who served nearly 31 years with the FBI.

He's interviewed about how the Chicago divisions organized crime and

Drug Enforcement Task Force, while conducting an investigation

targeting drug trafficking, overheard tid bits of information that

seemed to indicate an international conspiracy involving the A Rookan street gang and Libyan terrorists.

Bill Dyson led the Chicago Joint Terrorism Task Force, the JTTF, that developed this information

and determined that members of the Al-Rugans were meeting with

representatives of the then hostile government of Libya, led by Colonel Muammar Al Qadhafi to discuss a conspiracy to

perpetrate a terrorist attack inside of the United States.

The Al-Rukin Libyan conspiracy investigation marked the first

convictions of American citizens for conspiring to commit terrorist acts in

their country on behalf of the foreign government in exchange for money.

After retiring from the Bureau, Bill Dyson was hired by the University of Illinois and he authored a college textbook titled Terrorism

an Investigators Handbook.

Bill currently works for the Institute of Intergovernmental Research, IIGR, a nonprofit serving under a grant from the Department

of Justice.

He provides anti-terrorism training to state and local police officers throughout the United

States. This case review is unbelievable. I don't recall if I heard about this back in the 80s but it is just a a wild story
