Hello and welcome to episode 50 of the councillor tutor podcast with me, Rory Lee-Zokes, and with me on

the existential road of counselling and psychotherapy, Mr Ken Kelly. How are you, Ken? I'm exceptionally

well, glad to be here, glad to be speaking to you, Rory, and excited because we've got a really

interesting topic list for today's episode. And it's a special number for me. It's

episode 50. I turn 50 this year. So there's, I don't know, it resonates with me. I just got a good

feeling about this episode over here. And we're going to be kicking off by speaking about

vocabulary. The vocabulary that we use within our counseling relationships with our clients, maybe the

vocabulary that a client may come with. How about expanding our vocabulary? So we have more

feeling words that we may be able to use as opposed to just the basics of happy, sad. So we're

going to be really delving into that one. Theory with Rory is really interesting and it's a theory that I'm

not that Ophay with so I'm looking forward to you sharing more and can you kind of give us a bit

of a taster of what this is about? Yes, we're going to look at the work of Mary and Bob Gilding

and re-decision therapy which is a development in transactional analysis

that really does kind of link in to Burns' original ideas

about how therapy was contracted

and what happened at the end of the contract.

I like that, and I'm looking forward to learning a little bit more about that.

And then we're going to be ending today by looking at the word conflict.

And this could be conflict with peers, this could be conflict with tutors, and dare I say it,
