Hi everybody, it's Joe Lample, the Joe Behind Joe Gardner, and thanks for joining me

today on the Joe Gardner Show.

Well, today we are concluding our two-part discussion on beneficial insects for dealing

with pest control, with entomologist extraordinaire Suzanne Wainwright Evans.

Last week we went behind the scenes with Suzanne and her fascinating world of bio-control.

That's using good bugs to kill bad bugs, primarily for her in the commercial greenhouse

growing industry.

That's where she spends so much of her time.

But the cool thing is, this approach is becoming the rule rather than the old school exception

for using chemicals to blanket everything in a cloud of pesticides.

Thank goodness for that.

Now most of you and I know that thanks to technology and science, we're learning so much more

about biological control in the home garden, too.

So that's where we're going to pick up today and spend most of our time, is applying

what we've learned about using beneficials to attract more of them to our home gardens.

But what's exciting about this much eco-friendly or world of controlling pest is that we're

making new strides all the time on what we can use that's safe and effective and highly

targeted to just the targeted pest.
