Here are Jason and Chris introducing Bella Vida at a screening in Santa Monica, California.

You know, Chris and I started talking about this in 2011 on a trip to Pauly, where we were both

just hanging out with our girls, having fun.

And even though it's a movie about Italy, and we should have been having Kianti and pasta

pormador, we were having Vintang and Nasi Gorang.

We shared stories about both our fathers being Italian.

And at the time I was looking to do a new film,

and Chris, I think, through conversation, kind of said,

wow, what do you think about this?

And the more I talked to him and the more I got to get into his head

and learn about his experiences and his

friends and Emily, I realized there was potential to do something, which I felt could be really

unique and a little different than the other films I've done for the surf genre and yet still

have some of those sensibilities and things that I love about making these movies. And luckily he kind of said, let's do this.

And I was on board, you know, three months in Italy,

you'd be an idiot to not want to take that.

All right.

Good food, good wine, all right, the family will come over.

But it couldn't have been done alone and I comment here three close friends

on two lay Scott Grice and Greg Schultz to really help bring all this craziness
