Today is Tuesday, May 31, 2022, and we begin with Boyband BTS hanging out with President

Biden at the White House.

The nation's commander-in-chief is enlisting the K-pop group and its army of fans to shine

a spotlight on the importance of diversity and to help bring an end to violence against

Asians which spiked dramatically during COVID.

RM, Chen, Sugar, Jay Hope, Chi Minh, Bui, and Jungkook will all be there, reportedly with

a message of hope and positivity.

The visit by BTS is part of an effort by the administration to reach young people.

Earlier this month, Selena Gomez sat down with a first lady to speak out about her bipolar

diagnosis and address the growing mental health crisis affecting a third of American

high school students.

And last year, Olivia Rodrigo and Kira were brought in to help promote vaccines.

The skies were not all that friendly this holiday weekend.

Airlines canceled thousands of flights on Friday, then followed that by scrubbing a thousand

more on both Saturday and Sunday and a couple hundred more yesterday.

Delta and its hub Hartzfield in Atlanta were among the hardest hit, and for the most part

the carrier blamed bad weather.

But many airlines are also struggling to find enough staff to keep up with a post-pandemic

boom in air travel and instead of adding flights are actually cutting them ahead of the

busy summer travel season.
