Good morning and welcome to Kid News. I'm Tori. Today is Friday, May 31st, 2019.

And we begin with what should be an epic day for Star Wars fans.

The much-hiked hotly anticipated Galaxy's edge attraction officially

opens this morning at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Disney World in Orlando, Florida,

we'll have to wait a little longer.

The hatches don't come off there until the end of August.

The 14-acre expansion is the largest in Magic Kingdom history, and, not surprisingly,

is expected to bring record-setting crowds to both parks.

But keep this in mind, only guests within Park Hotel Reservations will be allowed in until

July 23rd.

And even after that, entrance to Galaxy's Edge is not guaranteed

and will be limited to four hours.

Lastly, the one new ride that's opening now,

Millennium Falcon, Smugglers Run, will not allow fast passes.

Park officials say they'll have drinks, snacks, and even a handoff service for bathroom

breaks to try and keep your mind off what is expected to be a multi-hour

weight.

The issue of safety at Ballparks is back in the news this morning.

Wednesday night in a game between Chicago and Houston

Cubs hitter Albert Almora Jr collapsed in despair when he realized his

line drive foul ball hit a four-year-old girl in the stands.

She was sitting with family just beyond the dugout where the protective netting ends.
