Tiger Woods, not the only woods making golf headlines. His 16-year-old son Charlie just won his

first American Junior Golf Association tournament. The same contest, Tiger won eight times when he was a teen. The event

in Bowling Green, Florida, started off rough, but the high school junior didn't let that stand in his way.

Charlie came from behind to finish strong, beating out a field of more than 70 players. This was

just his fifth AGGA tournament, and before this week, he hadn't finished

above 25th place. Tournament organizers recognized Charlie's win with a post on X that read,

Welcome to the Winners Circle, Charlie. Elon Musk is bowing out of his short-lived role in government.

The billionaire tech mogul helped

the Trump administration launch Doge, short for the Department of Government Efficiency.

A group he helped create to cut wasteful government spending that led to thousands of workers losing

their jobs. Musk had big goals. He wanted to save $2 trillion, but only reached a fraction of that

before running into political roadblocks.

He recently criticized a new massive spending bill that passed through the House, saying it undermines the work he was doing.

Now, he says he's stepping away from politics to refocus on his companies, including Tesla and SpaceX.

The western half of the U.S. is putting on a weather show with scorching heat and a surprise

storm in the mix. Meteorologists say parts of California could see triple-digit highs today,

along with dry air that will raise the fire danger.

The unseasonable heat is forecasted to last through Sunday.

In the meantime, a tropical storm named Alvin is spinning in the Pacific,

and while not expected to make landfall, could generate thunderstorms over Texas and New Mexico.

Alvin is the first named storm of the Pacific hurricane season, recording 40-mile-per-hour winds as of yesterday.
