With that being said, there was a bill in California that was passed several years ago that deals with the, that women were not represented on boards of directors.

That boards of directors of major companies are generally white males.

And women simply didn't have anywhere near the number of board members that is commensurate with the number of women there are in society.

Point something of the board members of major corporations are men, and women make up half of the population.

So a bill was passed in California that required boards of major companies to have up to three female directors by this year.

Depends on the size of the company, depends on the size of the board.
