with a valedictorian who didn't say a word, bringing down the house with her speech.

Rollins College graduate Elizabeth Bonker has a form of autism that prevents her from talking.

Undaunted, she turned to a special text-to-speech software to address her fellow graduates

in Winter Park, Florida, over the weekend. About 31 million people worldwide

reportedly have her condition, which also makes buttoning shirts or tying shoes without

assistance problematic. According to Elizabeth, learning to type with one finger,

unlocked her mind from its silent cage, and that's how she communicated in classes and even wrote

her speech. Now, she wants to help others with non-speaking autism find ways to connect.

She's already founded a nonprofit called Communication for All that supports typing resources in schools,

and she encourages everyone to use their voice no matter what form.

Also making graduation news, one of basketball's goats, Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors left

Davidson College in North Carolina a semester early to join the NBA. That was 13 years ago.

This spring, while leading his team to the playoffs, Steph finished what he started and earned a

Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. And as much as he'd like to walk this stage with a class of 2022

this coming weekend, he can't. The Warriors team is in the Western Conference Finals,

meaning his diploma handoff is on hold.

In international news, Finland's apparently done thinking about it, the historically neutral nation

has announced that it will seek membership in NATO with the country's president calling it

the start of a new era. Finland shares an 800-mile-long border with Russia.
