And we begin with a massive mistake at a Southern University causing major disappointment for

more than a thousand prospective students.

Roughly 1,500 high schoolers received emails saying they got into Georgia State University

for the 2024-25 school year, only to be told in a later email that they actually didn't.

One mother of a disappointed applicant said her daughter is so upset she won't really talk

about it, but there still may be hope for her and at least some of the others.

A university spokesperson told W.S.B. TV,

the teen's application hasn't been denied, but is still in the admissions process.

Georgia State admissions officers say they will now triple check everything to be sure the mix-up is not repeated.
