94 year old Jimmy Carter was getting ready to go turkey hunting

when he took a tumble in his Georgia home.

He's now had surgery and is reportedly resting comfortably.

In true Jimmy Carter fashion,

the former president said his biggest concern is not his hip.

It's that turkey hunting season ends this week, and he hasn't yet reached his limit.

He's hoping the state of Georgia will let him roll his unused turkeys into next year.

The Texas high school athlete known as White Lightning just ran off with a new milestone.

Matthew Bowling of Houston, Texas said a new national best for a high school

student in the 100 meter dash, running it in 10.13 seconds. That beat the previous

record set all the way back in 1986.

Matthew says he knew his time was good because as he was on the track he could see the crowd

rising to its feet, with many people videoing the race and he says that gets him hyped.

Matthew had run an even faster time two weeks ago of 9.98 seconds, but that was deemed to have

been aided by a strong wind.

So although it grabbed headlines, it didn't count for a new record.

The first big name in the College of Mission scandal has had her day in court.

Actress Felicity Huffman officially and tearfully pleaded guilty yesterday to paying $15,000 to rig her daughter's SAT scores.

Prosecutors are recommending a lenient sentence of four months in prison, a $20,000 fine, and a year of supervised release.

They drop more serious charges and a much longer prison stay in exchange for her admission of guilt.
