And we begin with an embarrassing face plant for a Russian president

Vladimir Putin.

Worse still, the high profile fall was caught on video

and courtesy of the internet has now been shared around the globe.

The trip up came on the heels of an exhibition

hockey game in which Mr. Putin reportedly scored eight goals. He was taking a

victory lap and waving to the crowd when his skate caught the edge of a red carpet. With cameras rolling, down went

Vlad. But he picked himself up and continued to wave and then reportedly claimed nine goals instead

of eight. You might say this next story is a bit deflating. Supplies of

helium, the gas that fills party balloons and keeps them floating for a good

long time, are critically low.
