2026. And we begin with the possibility of some welcome relief at the pump.

President Trump said yesterday he wants to suspend the federal gas tax until the conflict with Iran gets resolved and oil prices come down.

Doing so would knock 18 cents off of every gallon, but cost the U.S. government

half a billion dollars a week. It would also require an act of Congress. However, CBS News reports

both Republicans and Democrats have voice support. Gas is up more than 50 percent since the

start of the war, hitting an average high of over $4.52 on Sunday.

The CEO of Chevron meantime is warning that the problem could go beyond prices.
