with two members of one of the most famous rock bands in the world venturing into war-torn

Ukraine for a surprise performance. U2's Bono and the Edge popped up in a keyf subway yesterday

for a 40-minute concert to celebrate the resistance. As Bono rallied the crowd, your president

leads the world in the cause of freedom right now. The people of Ukraine are not just fighting for

your own freedom, you're fighting for all of us who love freedom. Also in town, Prime Minister

Justin Trudeau made an unannounced trip into the capital to announce the reopening of Canada's

embassy. And the first lady of the U.S. made a super secret trip to a little city just inside

the border to celebrate Mother's Day with the first lady of Ukraine. Jill Biden met with President

Zelensky's wife, Elena, who has reportedly not been seen in public since the start of the war.

A 19-year-old is on the cusp of becoming the youngest African-American to graduate law school

in the U.S. Haley Taylor Schlitz found out she was gifted when she was in fifth grade and when

the school didn't have programs to challenge her, her parents taught her themselves. Haley finished

high school when she was 13, had her undergraduate degree from Texas Women's University at 16 and

was accepted to nine different law schools before choosing Southern Methodist. She graduates

this Friday. Haley hopes to improve education policies so other gifted students of color have more

advanced program opportunities in public schools. A long shot horse that wasn't even entered in

Saturday's Kentucky Derby until Friday ran away with the crown. 80-1 Rich Strike came from behind

in the final stretch to leave two favorites in the dust and staged the second biggest upset in

the race's 148-year history. The Derby is the first race in U.S. horse racing's triple crown,

where one horse tries to win all three. The preekness is up next in Baltimore, Maryland on May 21st.

The Belmont is the final leg and it runs on June 11th in Elmont, New York.
