| 0:38.5 | On Monday, we talked about how Jesus is the absolute center of everything in our faith. |
| 0:45.1 | Yesterday, we talked about how Jesus is fully God, how he existed before time, and how he was |
| 0:53.5 | 100% God, even well in the human form on earth. |
| 1:00.2 | Now, the interesting thing about Jesus is that he was not only fully God. He was also |
| 1:07.5 | fully human. Now, way back in the early church, there was a lot of disagreement on this. |
| 1:14.7 | People believe that, yes, he was the Messiah. |
| 1:17.8 | He was the son of God. |
| 1:19.2 | He was God himself. |
| 1:21.6 | But they doubted that he was fully human. |
| 1:25.7 | They thought that perhaps he just looked human, but wasn't actually human. |
| 1:31.7 | Well, this was called a heresy, meaning something so very wrong that it destroyed big parts |
| 1:40.6 | of the faith. |
| 1:41.6 | These people were told they were wrong, and we were told as Catholics. It was |
| 1:46.4 | decided and has been taught ever since that Jesus Christ was not only fully God, he was also fully |
| 1:54.8 | human. Now, what does this mean? It means that Jesus experienced humanity, experienced life in every way that we do. |
| 2:08.0 | And all we have to do is read the Gospels to know that this is true. |
| 2:13.6 | From the Gospels we hear that Jesus laughed. |
| 2:20.3 | When he thought something was funny, he laughed. He wept. |
