Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Wednesday, October 10th, 2018. This week on the Catholic Sprouts

podcast, we have been talking about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, an attempt to get to know him

better and understand him better.

On Monday, we talked about how Jesus is the absolute center of everything in our faith.

Yesterday, we talked about how Jesus is fully God, how he existed before time, and how he was

100% God, even well in the human form on earth.

Now, the interesting thing about Jesus is that he was not only fully God. He was also

fully human. Now, way back in the early church, there was a lot of disagreement on this.

People believe that, yes, he was the Messiah.

He was the son of God.

He was God himself.

But they doubted that he was fully human.

They thought that perhaps he just looked human, but wasn't actually human.

Well, this was called a heresy, meaning something so very wrong that it destroyed big parts

of the faith.

These people were told they were wrong, and we were told as Catholics. It was

decided and has been taught ever since that Jesus Christ was not only fully God, he was also fully

human. Now, what does this mean? It means that Jesus experienced humanity, experienced life in every way that we do.

And all we have to do is read the Gospels to know that this is true.

From the Gospels we hear that Jesus laughed.

When he thought something was funny, he laughed. He wept.
