Born in San Pedro, Matt's intense connection with drums began when he was still in diapers.

After being mentored by some of the finest drummers in the greater L.A. area,

a scholarship to the prestigious University of North Texas, which he attended for just one semester.

and the list goes on and on. Nicknamed the Human Loop by Tori Amos, he can sound mechanical and robotic, but he's just as compelling when he plays loose and organic.
