Now, usually when you think of the word tank, you might think of a gas tank in your car, or an oxygen tank at a hospital,

or for a scuba diver, or maybe in the military, the army, they have tanks. The army has tanks.

But now we're using it as a verb to tank.

And what does it mean?

It means to go empty, to become zero.

So the most common usage would be something like, my energy has tanked.

My enthusiasm has tanked.
