Hey there, Spouts. Today is Friday, September 28th, 2018. It is also the feast day of St. Wintersloss.

This week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we have been talking about angels. First, we talked about what an angel is and how it is a pure spiritual being

that perpetually is singing the praises of God. Next, we cleared up some wrong ideas that we might

have about angels. We talked about how unlike a fairy, they are real, how we won't become an angel when we die,

and how angels are not just softness and light, but actually the warriors of God.

Next, we talked about our guardian angel, and we practiced thankfulness that God has loved us enough

to give us a protector to guard us and guide us each

day. Yesterday we talked about the fallen angels and how St. Michael, the archangel can protect us in

battle against Satan and temptations that we face every day. Today Today we are going to talk about the other two

archangels that we hear about in scripture. We are going to talk about St. Gabriel and St.

Raphael. All three of these guardian angels, St. Michael, St. Gabriel and St. Raphael, are celebrated

tomorrow in a great feast day. Now, let's first talk about St. Gabriel, and St. Raphael are celebrated tomorrow in a great feast day.

Now, let's first talk about St. Rayfield. St. Rayfield might be the one that you haven't heard about so

much. He appears in the book of Tobit, and he is a traveling companion. St. Gabriel is probably the one that you have heard of more.

St. Gabriel appeared to Daniel when he was in the lion's den, but he also appeared in the New

Testament. He appeared to Mary at the Annunciation and announced to her that she would bear a child and that child would be the

son of God and through him he would save all people.

The archangel Gabriel also appeared to Zachariah.

Zachariah is the father of St. John the Baptist, and Gabriel instructed him that he should name his

son John the Baptist. Now, in both of these archangels, both Archangel Gabriel and Archangel

Raphael, we see the real mission and work of angels. The word angel comes from a word meaning messenger. In both of these
