Welcome to today's Knowledge Bomb segment.

This is really going to be a good one, and here's why.

Every single time I touch or talk about the topic of tampons, there's a tidal wave of response.

Surprisingly, because I think that we should be more educated as people on tampons, especially women using these

tampons.

Why?

Over 11,400 tampons are used over 2,200 days of a woman's life. The problem is that the Vaginal Canal

is very, very permeable. It's like a sponge. It sucks up everything. We know that. So why isn't anyone talking

more about tampons? All right, so here is the first issue with tampon regulation. The FDA

lists tampon as medical devices. So what that means is it doesn't have to follow chemical

regulations like the food industry, the drug industry, even the cosmetics
