Today is Monday, April 14th, 2025.

And we begin with celebrities headed to the edge of space.

At this hour, barring any technical issues, pop star Katie Perry and CBS talk show host Gail King are suited up,

strapped in, and ready to blast off from West Texas with four other women high atop a

blue origin rocket. Liftoff is set for 8.30 Central Daylight Time. Their destination, the

Invisible Carman Line, 62 miles above Earth, which is the internationally recognized

boundary of space. There, all six will get to experience a few minutes of weightlessness before

the quick trip back to TerraFerma. From Blastoff to touchdown, the entire flight is just 11 minutes,

but that's long enough to make some history. This will be the first all-female flight into space since 1963.
