basketball podcast where we sometimes discuss camp fighting and Leaky Black Matt Norlander

is here with me. We both left Minneapolis on Tuesday morning, travel home. So I'm home

now. Norlander is home now. We decided to spend a few minutes looking back on what turned

out to be an awesome national championship game. Final score was Virginia 85 Texan Tech

77 in overtime. Game got off to a slow start, but it got great in the second half. Big

shot, controversial calls, controversial replays, and offensive explosion that created

a super fun game. I obviously have thoughts on what it means for Tony Bennett, for Virginia,

for college basketball in general, but I watched it on TV from a television set. Norlander,

you were in the building. So let's start with you. Your thoughts on Virginia winning a national

title for the first time in school history, your thoughts on Virginia becoming the first

number one seed to lose to a number 16 seed in 2018 and then becoming a first time national

champion in 2019. I have many thoughts, the first of which obviously has to be that I've

picked this to happen. I mean, I don't know to say I don't tell you. Pull up the bracket

page, the expert picks on CBS Sports.com or your CBS Sports app. I actually did have, I'll

tell you what, we're on the same page with this. When we make our picks on selection Sunday,

like we make them we have to turn around really fast. Some years I'm fine, some years I'm terrible,

but I never think about the fact that there are people that use those brackets to make

their pulls. I had, I don't even know how many people hit me up and say, thanks, I used

your picks and won my office pool. I'm like, I'm glad it happened for you, but don't listen to me

next year because that's just blind luck there. Virginia's the best team in college basketball.

It wins a national championship. That doesn't happen every year of course, but it happens frequently.
