Summary

For the first time in 40 years, a national championship game will feature two schools that have never before made it this far. But first, GP and Norlander pick apart and set the scene for Virginia's inexplicable escape over Auburn in the Final Four. That was one of the wilder endings imaginable on the biggest stage in college hoops. From there, they get into Texas Tech's 61-51 win over Michigan State (23:00) and Izzo's 3-7 record in the Final Four. They close, naturally, with their thoughts and predictions (36:00) on what Monday night's title game will bring -- and they disagree on who wins and who covers.

0:19.8	here with me. And once again, we are in the IDS center together here in Minneapolis. One
0:24.4	day removed from the national semifinals. One day ahead of the national championship
0:29.0	game, it's going to be Virginia against Texas Tech on Monday night inside US Bank, stadium
0:34.5	tip is scheduled for nine, oh nine PM Eastern, you can watch it on CBS. It's America's
0:39.9	most watch network that's America's most awarded network. It is the network of stars.
0:45.2	Virginia's a one point favorite. The total is 118 and we will get to that game eventually.
0:49.2	But I wanted to start with Saturday night's national semifinals. Virginia beat Auburn
0:53.1	63 62. Then Texas Tech beat Michigan State 61 51. So Norlander, let's take these games
0:59.6	in the order that they were played and let's cut to the final 10 seconds of Virginia Auburn.
1:04.9	So Virginia is down four points 10 seconds left. Yeah. On the verge of elimination. Once
1:10.0	again, then Cal guy makes a three cuts it to one. Virginia foul since Jared Harper to the
1:14.6	free throw line. He makes the first misses the second. So it's a two point game at 62 60
1:20.2	. Remember with about seven seconds left. Virginia has the ball. Auburn has fouls to give.
1:24.4	So Samir O'Dowdy commits one for Virginia gets the ball back. It's into a Jerome's hands.
1:29.7	He doubled dribbles, but the reps miss it. Then they call a Bryce Brown foul with a 1.5
1:34.1	seconds left just before Ty Jerome misses like a heave at the bucket. So Virginia gets
1:39.3	the ball 1.5 seconds left. Gets it to Cal guy in a corner. He's foul shooting a three.
1:45.6	First to the line makes all three boom boom boom. Virginia wins at 63 62. And that's
1:50.5	about as wild as it gets Bruce Pearl looked sick. I know you talked to him afterward. How sick
