And we begin with a sneaky plan to skip a test, backfiring in spectacular fashion.

Little Lily Schooly of England used a red marker to dot her face, hands and legs, like a case of chicken pox.

When her mom leaned in for a good look, the jig was up.

But that wasn't the end of the story, or even the worst of it.

Lily had used a sharpie, all attempts to scrub off the pretend pox pulled up short.

The first grader not only had to take the spelling quiz she was hoping to miss, she also

had to sport the spots for four full days

before baby oil, non-stop scrubbing,

and hairspray, of all things,
