Hey, making it great. And back with us today is Robert, aka Bob Vandermere. Welcome back, my friend. Hey, guys been them at one point or another. So we want to talk through this reality in groups and how to best maneuver through it.

So let's just talk about this, guys.

When we say a difficult group member, what are we talking about?

What does that mean?

What makes a member of a group a difficult one?

I think a lot of times when we first think of a difficult group member,

we think of somebody that maybe even has a personality that doesn't fit well or that causes problems or that,

you know, they talk too much or they just, they don't seem to fit in well with the group.

And I think that's just part of navigating personalities and having people in a group.

But I think ultimately a difficult group member is one that doesn't make the group a safe place for everybody that's there.

And by doing that, they might be one that doesn't honor or respect the time that's there,

or they might not respect other people sharing and, you know, so they give unwanted feedback or they, you know,

make comments that are inappropriate

or things like that. But it's really just someone I, in my opinion, somebody that ultimately

doesn't make the group effective and a safe place for everybody else that's there.

Well, and the reality is when we're talking about the material that we have, we're working

through sexually compulsive behavior or addiction. Those are patterns

that are developed for a lot of reasons in our lives, things like denial or rationalization,

ways that we hide it or cover up. And those personality issues we bring right into the group.
