Today's expression is to swerve.

S-W-E-R-V-E.

It's a verb to swerve. And the idea of this verb is to turn quickly, suddenly to swerve.

So you're driving down the street, could be in a car, could be on a bicycle, could be in a plane.

Although if you're driving in a plane, you would be flying a plane and it wouldn't be on

the street.

But anyway, and then, let's say a ball, like a basketball, suddenly comes into the street.

You whew, you swerve, you swerve the car, you turn suddenly.

That's the idea.
