In this episode we get to speak to

retired agent Keith Kelly who served with the FBI for 27 years.

Keith, a certified public accountant, CPA, worked a variety of assignments during

his career, including being a member of the New York Division SWAT team, extensive experience as an undercover agent using his

accounting skills to follow the money trail of international drug cases and

other criminal enterprises involved in distribution and racketeering, and of course, with

his CPA skills, specializing in complex financial and money laundering investigation.

Keith's most high-profile assignment, however, was as the

case agent of the Bernie Madoff Ponzi scheme, a 21-person inter-agency investigation into the largest security fraud case in history.

Keith's work resulted in the identification, seizure, and forfeiture of more than $ 8 billion, yes 8 billion dollars in assets, along with the conviction

of Bernie Madoff who received a 150 year jail sentence.

Now if I'm allowed to have a favorite podcast episode,

this will be one of my favorite ones.

I am absolutely fascinated by greed, fraud, and corruption.
