Summary

For years, my husband and I had a running joke: "Maybe next season will be less busy."

Spoiler alert, it never was.

Life doesn't magically slow down. The calendar fills back up. Responsibilities shift. New demands replace the old ones. And yet so many business owners keep telling themselves, "Once things calm down, then I'll launch. Then I'll pivot. Then I'll go all in."

If you're an entrepreneur waiting for the "right time," this episode is your wake-up call.

In today's video, I'm breaking down the lie of perfect timing. Yes, timing matters in business strategy, but perfect conditions? They don't exist. Growth doesn't happen when life gets easier. It happens when you decide to move forward anyway.

If you've been delaying your next level because you're waiting for life to feel less chaotic, this conversation will challenge you, refocus you, and push you to take action now, not "someday."

lots of changes, lots of ups and downs. Still, the guy that

1:31.7

makes my heartbeat fast every time he walks in a room. So we have joked for years and years and

1:37.8

years that one of the biggest lies we tell ourselves in our marriage is after this season,

1:42.0

it's going to really slow down. After this season, you know, with small kids, it's going to really slow down. After this season of getting the kids graduate, it's going to really slow down. After this season of moving our boys back from Arizona last spring, it's going to really slow down. After this season of, you know, a wedding last July for one of our kids, it's going to really slow down. Okay, in case no one has told you yet, it never slows down. It never slows down. Our life has never slowed down. And we are mid-50s right now. I'm getting ready to turn 55. That's right, five-five, double-fives. And there's no slowing down. And I used to think to myself, how is it that like my parents would say things like they're so busy? I'm like, you're not busy. How can you be busy? You don't have any kids at home. How can you be so busy? And now we have, you know, we've launched kids. We've got a kiddo married. We've got three adult children. And I feel like we're still so busy. So if you are somebody who's also lying to yourself saying after

this season, you know, it'll really slow down. I can focus on business. You know, I can focus on the next

2:42.9

steps. Like, let me just tell you you're lying to yourself. I love you enough to tell you. If you're
