Oh boy, today is a good expression for the weekend.

Now, for most of you, it is Friday, April, what is it,

April 3rd. I don't even know the date, my goodness. Friday, April the 3rd. Friday night for many people, especially in America, probably in Europe, probably in Asia too. It's a very important

night to meet your friends and have a good time and maybe even have a beer or some wine or

maybe some whiskey or vodka or rum or tequila or something else delicious, something alcohol.

And some people can drink, some people just cannot.

Some people don't drink because of religion or personal reasons.

Some people are allergic to alcohol.

But many people do enjoy alcohol.

And once again, some people can drink a lot and some people can't.

So in this case, we have a great expression.

And today's expression is this.

He can hold his own.

He can hold his own. He can hold his own he can hold his own he can hold his own he can hold his own so what does this mean well

this is a great expression when we talk about drinking but we can also use this expression in sports and some other competitive

situation. And what it means is he is very good. Or he has a high tolerance. Or he has a lot of skill but today i want to focus on the drinking situation

if somebody can drink a lot of alcohol then we can say he can hold his own we might want to ask

somebody can you hold your own oh man no i can't hold his own. We might want to ask somebody, can you hold your own?

Oh, man, no, I can't hold my own.
