Summary
In the episode I talk with Lisa Canning about her recent book, The Possibility Mom: How To Be A Good Mom + Pursue Your Dreams
Lisa Canning is parenting, lifestyle and interior design expert who helps moms design their lives around what matters most. Lisa's passion for moms to overcome perpetual overwhelm and constant mom-guilt, in favor of a life that is fulfilling and abundant, is
apparent in everything she does.
Lisa has become a recognizable face in the interior design
and entertainment industry. She has worked as a designer on HGTV's Marriage Under Construction, and "Buying and Selling with the Property Brothers", and has hosted regular live lifestyle segments on shows like The Marilyn Denis Show. At the same time she
was growing her design business, Lisa grew her family to seven children, all within nine years.
As a result, Lisa has developed a unique approach to time management and productivity, which she shares in her online courses and coaching programs.

| 1:02.0 | I put this immense amount of pressure on myself to seem like I had it all together all the time. |
| 1:09.8 | Honestly, thinking back to that time of my life, it makes me feel |
| 1:14.3 | just exhausted. I worked 40 hours a week in child protection. I commuted three hours a day. |
| 1:21.1 | I dove head first into everything with the kids. When I first became a stepmom, I had my finger on |
| 1:26.5 | everything. I was helping my finger on everything. I was |
| 1:27.7 | helping my husband with everything. I had this mentality that I needed to have my finger on |

| 1:38.4 | night, even though I wouldn't get home until, you know, sometimes seven, eight, nine o'clock at night, some |
| 1:43.0 | evenings. And I was always caught up on laundry. |
| 1:46.1 | Like, honestly, when I look back on it from the outside, I looked like I totally had my |
| 1:52.9 | shit together and I was just killing it in stepmotherhood. |
| 1:56.1 | But inside, I was miserable. |
| 1:59.1 | I was so full of anxiety and I was just so scared that if I didn't |
| 2:05.6 | keep up this facade, someone would find out that I had no idea what the F I was doing and that |
