a dreamy reason to forget about slam dunks and buzzer beaters. Rescued brown bears from around the

globe are facing off in March napness, a bracket-style competition to see who can hibernate the longest.

The contest is run by four paws, an animal welfare group with

over 135 rescues across seven sanctuaries. To win, a bear must out snooze its fellow competitors,

though snack breaks and stretch sessions are allowed. According to NPR, 23 bears entered the

sleepy showdown with less than half remaining.

Last year, the winner slept deep into April, winning the ultimate title, Sleepiest Bear of the year.
