And we begin with the United States hitting Russia where it hurts.

President Biden yesterday banned all oil imports from that country to further punish Vladimir

Putin for his ongoing invasion of Ukraine.

The move came after intense pressure from both Republicans and Democrats to tighten the

squeeze on Russia's economy despite the impact it might have on gas prices here at home,

which because of the war, are already higher than they've ever been.

Most Americans are okay with that, according to a new poll, 71% support the ban, even

if it means paying more at the pump.
