Today we sit down with Earl Bennett who is a seven year NFL veteran and graduate of my alma mater Vanderbilt University.

And Earl tells his story of how he was able to overcome the adversity of being raised and an impoverished household to ultimately reach incredible levels of success.

Today's episode is actually dedicated to a member of the Vanderbilt family and that is a 16 year athletic director David Williams and David passed away this week in a tragic accident.

And I was reflecting on my time with David and the man that he was and I'm extremely thankful for how he treated me during my five years there.

Ultimately helping me get into the school and then allowing me to have some amazing football memories and then actually graduating with two degrees.

And this is because David Williams and I couldn't be more thankful for his role in my life as well as thousands and thousands of other students and athletes at Vanderbilt.

So thank you David. On that note, we're going to go ahead and jump in with Earl Bennett. It's going to be a lot of fun. Go ahead and enjoy.
