It is wedding season. Flowers are in bloom. The weather is finally decent where I live.

Wedding season has definitely begun. A listener wrote to me with a question about how to have an

eco-friendly wedding and I will read her letter in a little bit, but before I do, full disclosure, I did not have an eco-friendly wedding.

It was seven years ago now, and I had an over-the-top, ridiculously gluttonous affair

simply because I didn't even know where to begin when it came to making sustainable wedding choices.

So when Abby from Michigan wrote me asking for tips, I thought to myself,

what a great idea for an episode, because if she has this question and if I had this question

then there are certainly others who do as well. Now if you're not getting married anytime soon, don't fret.

to be more eco-friendly as they enjoy wedding season.

Now as I was doing my research for this episode I learned something really important and it's that anyone

can have a beautiful and sustainable wedding that doesn't feel particularly eco-friendly or rustic or

whatever adjective you would use to describe what you would consider a sustainable wedding

sustainable wedding.

Sustainable weddings can still be beautiful and luxurious and whimsical.
