Summary

After thirty years of seeking liberation, James Braha had nearly given up on finding fulfillment. His mind began to change, however, when he encountered the Hindu/Vedic philosophy of non-duality. Upon reading “Sailor” Bob Adamson’s book What’s Wrong with Right Now Unless You Think About It, James immediately invited Bob to come from Australia to share his knowledge with Americans.  For five glorious weeks in the summer of 2004, Bob and his wife stayed with the Braha family at their home in Florida. Spiritual talk with arguably the greatest non-duality teacher alive continued from morning till night, as James’ dearest friends and spiritualists from around the country joined the investigations into the truth of reality versus the illusion of appearance. James Braha's Site Sailor Bob's Site Interview recorded 5/19/2010. Welcome to Buddha at the gas pump, a weekly show in which we have a discussion with someone

0:07.0

who has undergone a spiritual awakening of some kind, preferably one of a permanent or abiding nature.

0:16.0

My name is Rick Archer and my guest this week is James Braha.

0:21.6

I'll let James introduce himself in terms of what he does and all that kind of thing.

0:26.8

But as I understand it, James, you are a professional astrologer.

0:30.0

Is that what you do exclusively for a living?

0:32.9

These days I do a lot of things.

0:34.1

I do investing in gold and silver, and I do a little bit of

0:38.9

astrology, not as much as I used to. Okay. And I talk some non-duality pretty much when people

0:46.2

call up with questions or email. I don't, I don't, one of the odd things was that I always

0:52.8

thought that if I had ever gotten to the end of my search,

0:55.6

that I, you know, bang down the doors of everybody and tell them, hey, I got this great stuff,

1:00.0

but it turns out that, you know, there's not really much need for that. People are, you know,

1:07.2

okay as they are. And if they want it, then I'm available. Yeah. Yeah, I was more of a doorbanger in the early days myself, you know, kind of a

1:15.3

wild-eyed zealot. Yeah. And you tend to kind of mellow out both with age and I think

1:22.3

with more spiritual maturity or whatever. I've listened to one interview that you gave on the Urban

1:31.6

Guru Cafe series. In fact, I've listened to all about 75 of the interviews on that series.

1:39.1

And maybe we'll talk a little bit about some of my impressions of that as we go along

1:45.0

and get into the discussion.

1:47.0

But I understand, and I also have a copy of your book right behind me here, some place on the shelf.

1:55.0

It's blue living here.

1:57.0

Here it is.
