All right guys this podcast today I want to talk about a 2012 sermon

that was delivered by one of our favorite pastors while under some pretty awkward

circumstances to say the least so this was a sermon that was delivered by

Matt Chandler okay so you guys have heard me talk about Matt Chandler a lot on this podcast.

If you go back, I even did an entire podcast episode,

episode number 14 about his latest book.

But if you don't know who Matt Chandler is, let me go and bring you up to speed.

Aside from the fact that we just absolutely love him here at an

undaunted life, like we just love everything that he's done,

everything that he stands for and the things that he said.

He's personally my favorite pastor.

I have a lot of guys that I really respect, a lot of guys that I've read their books and I've listened to their sermons and I've taken a lot of notes. But Matt Chandler is the guy above every other guy. I just love everything that he does and everything he stands for. So he is the

lead pastor of the village church, which is in the Dallas area. So when Chandler

was 28 years old, he became the church's pastor. So this was in 2002 and he's been there ever since so when he

got there the church was under a different name it's a Baptist church and there were

about 160 people coming every week, right?

And he took it over and now today there are more than 10,000

weekly attenders of this church.

And so the village is currently a multi-site church in the Dallas area, so they're kind of spread out throughout the metroplex.

But they are currently in the process of working all of their campuses towards becoming autonomous churches.

So basically the reason was that I think last year, towards becoming autonomous churches.
