Today we're having a conversation with a long time friend of mind

and our show growing a greener world.

It's with Dr. Linda Chalker Scott.

Now Linda is an associate professor and extension urban

horticulturalist at Washington State University in Seattle. She's also the

author of some of my favorite books on Garden Myth Busting, The Informed Gardner, and The Informed Gardner blooms again.

Those books are full of wonderful science-based assessments of many of the most common practices

when it comes to gardening.

Well, leave it to Linda, as you'll find out, she offers her academic background and decades

of experience in horticulture and science-based approach to confirming or debunking some of those practices.

And that's one of the reasons I love her so much.

In fact, we did an episode with her on this very topic for growing a greener world a few years back that you can watch online for free at our website.

And I've also done a couple previous podcast with her to dive deeper on some of these and more topics from those two great books.
