A lot of top athletes from college level to pros

are banned by their teams from doing any dangerous activities like skiing or

riding motorcycles, but that hasn't stopped the top major league pitcher from doing a little risky business on the side.

Madison Bumgart, the four-time All-Star and three-time World Series champion, has just been caught moonlighting as a rodeo rider under the name

Mason Saunders. Mason is a shortened version of Madison. Saunders is his wife's maiden name.

There's a Facebook post of the pitcher at an Arizona

rodeo back in December where he and a partner won the event by roping four

steers in 31.36 seconds. When asked about it, Bumgartner owned up to his rodeo act right away, saying he's been

roping since he was 15 years old and it's just part of who he is. Now that the cat is out of the bag, there's

no word on whether his new team, the Arizona Diamondbacks, will make him stop.

Mixed news on the coronavirus. On the positive side, the number of new cases in China is starting to slow down and yet the World Health Organization

says it's very concerned about the cases not only popping up but spiking in countries like Italy,

South Korea, and Iran.

Authorities are struggling to understand the outbreak in places where some of the infected

have had no contact with anyone in or recently returned from Asia, and that uncertainty is weighing on the world economy.

Many companies like Airlines, Disney parks, cruise ships and hotels say business is slowing

because people are afraid to travel.

That news spooked investors who don't like big question marks when it comes to their money.

They sold up their stocks and the Dow dropped more than a thousand points yesterday.

The space world is mourning the passing of a woman critical to launching men into space.
