Good morning and welcome to kid news. I'm Tori. Today is Monday, February 25, 2019. And we begin with a ninth grader in

China busted for using a robot to do her homework. The student bought the 120 dollar device herself and used it for copying work, which is basically a penmanship assignment to practice writing Chinese symbols.

The hardware for the robot is a simple metal frame and pen. It attaches to a computer and the software

allows it to churn out 40 Chinese characters every minute. If the robot hadn't finished

the work so quickly, the young lady might never have gotten caught.

Either way, social media in that country is divided.

Some think the handwriting homework is busy work

and appreciate the student's resourcefulness.

Others think the long way of learning is the best way.
